RAZORFISH — MOTOROLA MOTO X

Elevating Innovation

When newly Google-owned Motorola introduced Moto X to the world, it was to be one of the first entirely customizable smartphones assembled in the USA. By using the award-winning online tool, Moto Maker, users are able to select among 200+ color combinations for several components of the phone. The device is then sent off to an assembly line in Texas where it is hand-built and shipped to buyers within four short days. My role was to assist the design team with creating an immersive digital experience which highlights all of the novel features Moto X has to offer. The layout for the Moto Maker UI, while robust, had to be designed with simple clean lines that would support a multitude of bold, colorful customizable options while also maintaining cohesion with the Google brand.
